Returns & Claims Policy
This returns and claims policy explains how inspection, claims and returns are agreed for KEMET business orders.
Last Updated: 7 September 2026
1. Overview
As a B2B supplier, KEMET agrees inspection, claims and returns terms with each business client as part of the formal order and contract process. This page summarises our general approach; specific terms for your order are confirmed in writing at the time of quotation.
2. Inspection on Delivery
We ask that goods be inspected promptly on receipt. Any damage, shortfall or discrepancy against the confirmed order should be reported to our team within the period specified in your order confirmation so that we can investigate and resolve it quickly.
3. Eligibility for Claims
To be considered for a claim, items must generally be:
- Unused and in the condition supplied, unless the claim relates to a manufacturing or transit defect.
- Reported with reference to the relevant order or invoice number.
- Supported by photographic evidence where the claim relates to damage or a quality issue.
4. Non-Returnable Items
Certain categories, including custom-specified, embroidered or private-label items, and opened essential oil or amenity products, are not eligible for return except where a manufacturing defect is confirmed. This is agreed with each client at the point of order.
5. Claims Process
To raise a claim, please contact our team at info@kemetuk.com with your order details. We will confirm next steps, which may include replacement, credit or a documented resolution agreed with your account contact.
