Shop privacy notice: 1. Who we are

The data controller is KEMET for Trading Ltd (Company No. 16621098, VAT No. GB 517043221), 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London WC2H 9JQ. Contact: info@kemetuk.com. We follow the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

2. What we collect

When you order or create an account: your name, email address, phone number, delivery and billing addresses, order details (products, colours, sizes, any personalisation text), and your messages to us. Payments are handled by our payment provider; we do not see or store your full card details. We also collect limited technical and analytics data, as set out in our Cookie Policy.

To take, prepare, deliver and support your order (contract). To keep accounting, tax and VAT records (legal obligation). To prevent fraud, keep the shop secure and improve it (legitimate interests). To send you offers and news only if you have agreed (consent), which you can withdraw at any time.

4. Who we share it with

Only with those who help us serve you: our payment provider, delivery and logistics partners, the partners who prepare your order, and our website hosting, email and analytics providers. We do not sell your personal information.

Orders are prepared and shipped from outside the UK, so some of your information (such as your name, address and order details) may be transferred to countries without UK adequacy decisions. Where this happens we use appropriate safeguards and share only what is needed to fulfil your order.

6. How long we keep it

Order and accounting records are kept for 6 years, as UK tax law requires. Account details are kept while your account is open. Marketing preferences are kept until you withdraw consent.

7. Your rights

You can ask to access, correct or delete your information, restrict or object to its use, and receive a copy of it. Email info@kemetuk.com and we will reply within one month. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
